I can confirm that in response to the initial report we took steps to minimise the impact of what appeared to be oil on the watercourse by deploying oil absorbent pads. Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location. A temporary road closure is required on Brook Street from 28th July 2021 for 4 nights, 21:30 till 05:30 each night. The road will be closed either side of the Railway Bridge. Charnwood Borough Council is consulting residents, businesses, community groups and other stakeholders on the Charnwood Local Plan 2021-37 before submitting it to the Government.

A tree trail in a country park that will provide a space for reflection and remembrance for those whose lives have been affected by coronavirus has been formally opened.
