A local reading of the Proclamation of the new Sovereign will be held at Sileby War Memorial, Sileby Memorial Park on Sunday 11th September at 1.30pm.
The Proclamation of King Charles III becoming the new monarch will be read by Parish Council Chairman, Councillor Mrs Julie Jones.
Residents and members of the public are invited to join us for the reading.

The Chairman, Councillors and Officers of Sileby Parish Council are deeply saddened at the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022).
Our thoughts are with King Charles III and the rest of the Royal Family at this sad time.

A series of projects have been chosen to form part of a £4 million investment plan in Charnwood to help the area level-up.
Charnwood Borough Council has been allocated the funding under the Government's UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and has developed the Future Charnwood Investment Plan.

Anyone who lives in Sileby must be well aware (and pretty fed up) of how congested our roads are, especially when it comes to the junctions on High Street / Barrow Road. At the best of times this junction is a traffic and pedestrian nightmare. One of our Councillors, Mr Tim Cox, has highlighted the driving and parking hazards for disabled people / people with pushchairs in Sileby.
King Street Car Park:
